Visiting Us

Church House viewed from Fisherwick Place, showing crane on left and scaffolding on rightLocation

Our offices are situated on the second floor of Church House, which is one block away from the City Hall and the centre of Belfast.

Church House lies within the block bounded by Fisherwick Place (to the West), Wellington Street (to the North), Upper Queen Street (to the East) and Howard Street (to the South).

Jury's Inn is right opposite with the Fitzwilliam Hotel, Grand Opera House, Europa Hotel and the Translink's Great Victoria Street Train Station & Europa Bus Centre just a short distance away, along Great Victoria Street/Glengall Street.

Our address is Fisherwick Place, which is the short length of street between the city-centre end of Great Victoria Street and the start of College Square East.

The main entrance to Church House is via the glass doors located at the Fisherwick Place end of Wellington Street, the narrow street running along the northern side of the building.

An appointment is needed, if you wish to meet with one of our Executive Staff Team.

Coming by Car

Ordinarily, Wellington Street is a one-way street for vehicular traffic with access from the Fisherwick Place end. However, to facilitate the stonework repairs currently being carried out on the Church House building (see picture above), a large crane has been placed at the corner of Wellington Street and Fisherwick Place, which means that access at this point is restricted to pedestrians ONLY. This is a temporary arrangement but will remain in force until the external repairs to Church House are complete and the crane is removed, which is unlikely to happen before the end of 2010.

Entrance to Wellington Street from Upper Queen StreetHowever, it is still possible to drive right up to the main Church House entrance in Wellington Street, but only via Wellington Place and Upper Queen Street.

This picture shows the entrance to Wellington Street from Upper Queen Street, with the builder's crane at the other end. In this view, the entrance to Church House is at the far end, on the left.

Wellington Street is narrow, with little room to turn at the 'closed end' next to the crane base, so it's easiest to reverse down the street from Upper Queen Street, keeping a good lookout for pedestrians and any cars emerging from the hidden entry opposite the Church House doorway.

PARKING is NOT PERMITTED in Wellington Street, so cars should not be left here for any length of time. Loading or unloading at the Church House entrance is acceptable, if it only takes a few minutes.

There are several car parks just a short distance from Church House [view map], the two nearest being McCauslands along the Grosvenor Road and the multi-storey car park behind the Europa Hotel, with others a little further away. Short-stay 'ticketed' parking is also possible on a number of the streets in the immediate area, though finding a free space can sometimes be difficult during the working day.

Coming by Bus or Train

Coming to Church House by public transport is easy. Many Metro bus routes terminate in and around the City Hall, while a number of out-of-town Ulsterbus services arrive into the Europa Buscentre in Glengall Street, behind the Europa Hotel, where NI Railways' Great Victoria Street Train Station is also located. Other Ulsterbus services operate from the Laganside Buscentre [view map].

Shuttle buses to and from the International Airport use the Europa Buscentre, as does the shuttle service to and from Belfast City Airport. Ulsterbus' Belfast-Dublin express coach service operates from the Europa Buscentre.

Aircoach operate a coach service between Belfast and Dublin Airport - departing and arriving outside Jury's Inn, opposite Church House.

Iarnród Éireann (Irish Rail) and NIR jointly run the Belfast-Dublin intercity 'Enterprise Express' service with online tickets being considerably cheaper than those purchased at the point of embarkation.
