NEW HORIZON this year is taking place once more at the University of Ulster at Coleraine, beginning Saturday, 17th and running through to Friday, 23rd July 2010. If you are planning to attend, be sure to make Hope Street a priority visit for you and your family.
As usual, Hope Street will be located at the Octagon in the University's main buildings.
Hope Street is where we can learn together about God's mission to the world and how we can be his co-workers in this greatest of tasks.
The interactive display within Hope Street this year is called 'FAITH THAT WORKS, big picture living'. Stories and information from each of the five sections to the display portray the lives of men and women who have a faith that works and are having a transforming influence where they live and work. Come and see for yourself!
Last year, Hope Street was kept open in the afternoons (2.00 pm - 4.00 pm) to allow those with small children to visit.
It was felt this was successful enough to justify doing the same again this year. So the Kidzone will be there with staff available to keep children busy while parents or guardians can look round Hope Street, chat to the staff or have a cup of coffee.
While all children are welcome to visit Hope Street in the afternoons, they MUST have a parent or guardian with them during their time there. The Kidzone is NOT a babysitting facility.
There will also be the usual Hope Street features - a cafe, a mission agency information area organised by MAP - the Mission Agency Partnership (which includes PCI Mission Overseas and Mission in Ireland), a mission bookstall and the ever popular Sundown programme, which begins about 10.00 pm each evening with its mix of chat and live music. It's a good place to finish your day at New Horizon!
