'Wycliffe and Me' Events

20th October 2009

This Saturday (24th October), Wycliffe UK will be holding two 'Wycliffe and Me' events, one in Belfast and the other near High Wycombe, aimed at helping people to explore what God is doing in and through Bible translation, and the part that they can play in that.

The event will look at topics such as:

  • Why translate the Bible?

  • How can I be involved, either in the UK or overseas?

  • How should we approach the issue of raising financial support?

  • What’s it really like to live and work overseas?

Wycliffe staff will be presenting about the work they’re involved in in different parts of the world, while participants will also be able watch videos from Africa and Asia to see the impact of Bible translation and literacy on the lives of minority language communities.

Find out more about the event, or if this has whetted your appetite you might be interested in the week-long 'Window on Wycliffe' course, held in February and July each year.
