Join the Wave TODAY, Saturday, 5th December. Flood the streets of DUBLIN and BELFAST to make a stand for climatejustice and make the final call on this issue ahead of the UN's Copenhagen Climate Change Summit.
The Wave promises to be Ireland's biggest ever demonstration in support of climate action.
It is being organised by the Stop Climate Chaos Coalition, of which Christian Aid and Tearfund are members.
Ahead of the vital 'Climate Change' talks taking place in Copenhagen on 5th December, join Christian Aid and Tearfund, and all others involved, as The Wave floods the streets, to spell out the message that governments and nations need to make real commitments to tackle the root causes of climate change across the world.
This December, the world’s Governments will meet in Copenhagen to negotiate and decide a global climate deal. We must call on them to deliver a fair and safe deal. A deal that keeps the rise in global temperatures below two degrees centigrade. A deal that supports developing countries in their efforts to cope with the impacts of climate change now and in the future.
Join the worldwide wave of millions calling for action. Copenhagen is our chance to start putting it right. Send a strong and clear message to our leaders: STOP CLIMATE CHAOS.
Participants are urges to come DRESSED IN BLUE and, if possible, with blue paint on faces and hands, or to bring a piece of blue material (e.g. a scarf or banner) to be part of The Wave.

The Wave event will take place in Bank Square (behind Tesco), Belfast from 1.00 pm.

The Wave sets off at 12.00 pm from Custom House Quay, moves towards O’Connell Bridge, goes around Trinity College and will ‘crash’ against the Department of An Taoiseach at around 1.30 pm.
