INDIA: Woodstock seeks new Chaplain

5th December 2009

Woodstock International School in North India is seeking to appoint a new Chaplain to be in post by July 2010.

Woodstock is a Christian, international, residential co-educational school, which was established in 1854.

Its aim is to develop responsible global citizens and leaders by providing a world-class international education which is rooted in Christian values and caters for a diverse group of students from kindergarten to Grade 12; and especially those from families in Christian or public service.

The school currently has 150 staff members and some 460 students from more than 25 nations.

For three to four months of the year, Mussoorie experiences the monsoon, which provides most of the annual precipitation in the region. For the rest of the year, skies are mostly clear and temperatures moderate. Snow falls occasionally.

The person who is appointed to the important and key post of school Chaplain will be responsible for providing spiritual leadership to the school community, in supporting Woodstock's Religious Life Policy and helping to maintain the school's Christian heritage and character.
