IKE (Ifjúsági Keresztyén Egyesület in Hungarian) is an independent youth movement within the Transylvanian District of the Hungarian-speaking Reformed Church in Romania, which is linked to the International YMCA.
Working with local church-based youth groups, IKE provides leadership training, while also organising and running youth programmes, mission events and summer camps for young people.
Our links with IKE are through Csaba Veres who works part-time for IKE as Programme Coordinator. He is also responsible for International Relations for IKE.
Csaba previously worked full-time for IKE, serving for four years as General Secretary, stepping down from this role in 2008.
When he's not working for IKE, Csaba assists with administration related to the work of Caleb House, which exists to demonstrate the love of Christ in practical ways to those who have grown up in care; and to assist these young people to manage the transition from living in care to living independent lives.
