This project's objective is to support the completion of the building and equipping of a new house for occupation by the Livingstonia Synod's General Secretary.
Funding for the building of this house has run out before completion, while devaluation of the Malawian Kwacha has meant that costs have risen above the original budget estimate. An estimated £5,000 is now needed to complete the build and equip the house.
When the new house is finished and ready for occupation, the house which is currently being used by the General Secretary will become a Synod-run guest house. This will reduce the costs to the Synod of paying for visiting guests who have to be put up in local, commercially run guest houses because there is nowwhere else for them to stay.
