Sponsored cycle ride in support of 'Bridge of Hope' Project in Galana, KENYA
The sponsored cycle ride from Donegal Town to Derry on Saturday, 14th May 2011 to raise money for the Bridge of Hope, Galana was a great success. A total of 56 cyclists left from the church in Donegal at 8.30 am. Some had travelled from as far as Coleraine, many from various congregations in the Derry & Donegal Presbytery and Derek Roulston had flown in especially from Kenya to take part in the event. Nearly everyone completed the 45 miles journey and in Derry they were joined by other cyclists who had made their way from Ballykelly and Eglinton, bringing the total number of people on bikes to almost 70!
